<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-large-font-size" id="4-famous-restaurants-in-thailand"><strong>4 Famous Restaurants In Thailand</strong></h2>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="1-soei-ร้านเส่ย">1. Soei (ร้านเส่ย)</h3>

<p>Soei is among the top restaurants in Bangkok, known for its bold and flavorful dishes that cater to those with a taste for rich flavors. One unique aspect of Soei is that it has only one chef, P&#8217;Soei, who oversees the cooking process from start to finish. This ensures that the flavors of the dishes remain consistent and never disappoint.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-full"><img decoding="async" width="550" height="403" src="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/Soei-Bangkok.webp" alt="Soei Bangkok" class="wp-image-1275" srcset="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/Soei-Bangkok.webp 550w, https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/Soei-Bangkok-300x220.webp 300w" sizes="(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px" /></figure>

<p>However, the downside of having just one chef is that during weekends or holidays, the waiting time for food can be as long as 2-3 hours due to the high number of guests and the limited cooking staff.</p>

<p>Despite the wait, dining at Soei offers a chance to savor a variety of dishes like Kaem Pla Too Tod (crispy fried Indian mackerel cheeks with garlic and salt), Goong Chae Nam Pla (shrimp dish with lemon juice, wasabi, chili and garlic), Yam Woon Sen (stir-fried vermicelli with vegetables and meat), Pla Goong Pao (shrimp salad mixed with chili, garlic and herbs) and many more.</p>

<p>See full <a href="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/soei-menu/" target="_blank" data-type="link" data-id="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/soei-menu/" rel="noreferrer noopener">Soei menu</a>.</p>

<p>Recommended dishes: Kaem Pla Too Tod, Miang Pla Too</p>

<p>Opening days: Monday &#8211; Sunday (Close on Saturday)</p>

<p>Opening hours: 10.30 am &#8211; 9.30 pm (10:30 &#8211; 21:30)</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="2-ran-gaeng-pa-sriyan-แกงป่า-ศรีย่าน">2. Ran Gaeng Pa Sriyan (แกงป่า ศรีย่าน)</h3>

<p>Ran Gaeng Pa Sriyan is a restaurant that serves many delicious dishes from all over Thailand. Some of the dishes here come from the North and have lots of chili and herbs. The best specialty here is Thai curry, which has many different types of meat, but the most unique is still the very sweet frog meat curry.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-full"><img decoding="async" width="680" height="510" src="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/Ran-Gaeng-Pa-Sriyan-dish-1.webp" alt="Ran Gaeng Pa Sriyan dish" class="wp-image-1266" srcset="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/Ran-Gaeng-Pa-Sriyan-dish-1.webp 680w, https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/Ran-Gaeng-Pa-Sriyan-dish-1-300x225.webp 300w" sizes="(max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px" /></figure>

<p>Another delicious dish is stir-fried snails with lots of chilies, lime leaves, green pepper, and garlic. In addition, when you come here, you can enjoy stir-fried minced quail or stir-fried shrimp with Sataw beans that have a pungent taste that is a bit hard to smell&#8230; In particular, the dessert here is cool durian ice cream that will definitely satisfy many visitors, especially on a hot day.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="3-heng-chun-seng-เฮ้งชุนเส็ง-สุนทรโกษา">3. Heng Chun Seng (เฮ้งชุนเส็ง สุนทรโกษา)</h3>

<p>If you love beef, Heng Chun Seng is one of the best eateries in Bangkok. When entering the restaurant, you are guaranteed to be immediately impressed with the pan full of beef right at the cooking counter and the fragrant smell of beef.&nbsp;</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="566" height="510" src="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/Heng-Chun-Seng-hot-pot.webp" alt="Heng Chun Seng hot pot" class="wp-image-1123" srcset="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/Heng-Chun-Seng-hot-pot.webp 566w, https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/Heng-Chun-Seng-hot-pot-300x270.webp 300w" sizes="(max-width: 566px) 100vw, 566px" /></figure>

<p>The most impressive dish here is the Beef Hot Pot with lots of beef, beef balls, and vegetables. In addition, the restaurant also has additional dishes, such as satay grilled meat skewers dipped in a plate of spicy sauce made from fish sauce, vinegar, and chili, which looks extremely attractive.</p>

<p>See full <a href="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/heng-chun-seng-menu/" target="_blank" data-type="link" data-id="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/heng-chun-seng-menu/" rel="noreferrer noopener">Heng Chun Seng menu</a>.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="4-thipsamai-ทิพย์สมัย">4. Thipsamai (ทิพย์สมัย)</h3>

<p>Pad Thai Thip Samai, also known as Ghost Gate Pad Thai, is one of the most famous names for Pad Thai in Bangkok. The reason it has such a special name is because this restaurant specializes in serving customers late at night until dawn. If you come to the restaurant at night, you can see a lot of customers, from locals to foreign tourists, visiting the restaurant to enjoy the food.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="680" height="510" src="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Thipsamai-Pad-Thai.webp" alt="" class="wp-image-399" srcset="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Thipsamai-Pad-Thai.webp 680w, https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Thipsamai-Pad-Thai-300x225.webp 300w" sizes="(max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px" /></figure>

<p>It has common ingredients such as tofu, baby shrimp, garlic, and bean sprouts, but the Pad Thai here is made according to a special recipe, so it tastes much better. It is even considered a place to sell the best Pad Thai in Bangkok. One of the most famous Pad Thai dishes here is Pad Thai Haw Kai Goong Sot. Pad Thai is stir-fried with shrimp and wrapped in a thin layer of golden egg. In addition, there is also a fried egg noodle dish that is equally attractive and delicious.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="1-thipsamai-ทิพย์สมัย">1. Thipsamai (ทิพย์สมัย)</h3>

<p><strong>Thipsamai</strong> appears in all rankings of the best local restaurants in Bangkok. This is considered the place that serves <strong>the best Pad Thai</strong> in Bangkok, even the best in the world. The ingredients that make up the dish are very fresh, and the portion is also very large. Even though it is stir-fried over high heat, the dish is not dry or has too much oil.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="680" height="510" src="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Thipsamai-Pad-Thai.webp" alt="" class="wp-image-399" srcset="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Thipsamai-Pad-Thai.webp 680w, https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Thipsamai-Pad-Thai-300x225.webp 300w" sizes="(max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px" /></figure>

<p>The dish is wrapped in a thin layer of egg. When diners break this thin layer of egg, Pad Thai will appear in thin smoke along with the aroma of the dish. Depending on your taste, you will choose dishes with prices ranging from <strong>90 baht </strong><strong>(THB)</strong> to 500 baht (THB). In addition to the famous Pad Thai, try <strong>100% pure orange juice</strong> pressed from ripe oranges picked from the garden. Feel free to queue and choose any seat you like, inside the restaurant or outside on the stainless steel benches.</p>

<p>Opening hours: 9.00 am &#8211;&nbsp; 12.00 am (9:00 &#8211; 0:00)</p>

<p>Address (Pratoopee branch): 313-315 Maha Chai Rd, Khwaeng Samran Rat, Khet Phra Nakhon, Bangkok 10200, Thailand. (<a href="https://maps.app.goo.gl/78JkQvpdqdgaBuy4A" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">Open Map</a>)</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="2-wattana-panich-วัฒนาพานิช">2. Wattana Panich (วัฒนาพานิช)</h3>

<p>This old restaurant located on Ekkamai Street is easy to recognize thanks to the <strong>large stew pot</strong> placed right in front of the restaurant&#8217;s door. The stew pot is always kept hot all day, helping the beef pieces to be stewed soft, absorbing spices but still retaining juiciness, along with adding Chinese herbs such as cinnamon and star anise to the stew pot and goji berries (a fruit of the nightshade family) add flavor to the dish.</p>

<p><strong>Wattana Panich</strong> is considered one of the best local eateries in Bangkok, and it has a storefront that looks authentically Thai. <strong>Beef stew</strong> is served with noodles, priced at <strong>100 baht (THB)</strong> for a regular bowl and 150 baht (THB) for a large bowl. In addition, diners can also choose stewed goat meat for 200 baht (THB).</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="622" height="1024" src="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Wattana-Panich-622x1024.webp" alt="" class="wp-image-536" srcset="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Wattana-Panich-622x1024.webp 622w, https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Wattana-Panich-182x300.webp 182w, https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Wattana-Panich.webp 700w" sizes="(max-width: 622px) 100vw, 622px" /></figure>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="3-lek-seafood-เล็ก-ซีฟู้ด">3. Lek Seafood (เล็ก ซีฟู้ด)</h3>

<p>Among the restaurants stretching close together, <strong>Lek Seafood</strong> occupies a small corner below Bangkok&#8217;s Chong Nonsi BTS Skytrain Station. This is a small restaurant with an open space; tables and chairs are arranged outside on the street in the style of local eateries in Bangkok, with the hustle and bustle of Narathiwat Street as the backdrop. Coming to Lek Seafood, you will enjoy dishes made from <strong>unique seafood</strong>, such as steamed tuna with lemon and chili, spicy and sour seafood soup, and a variety of shrimp and shellfish&#8230;</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="750" height="563" src="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/Lek-Seafood-shrimp.webp" alt="Lek Seafood shrimp" class="wp-image-1152" srcset="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/Lek-Seafood-shrimp.webp 750w, https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/Lek-Seafood-shrimp-300x225.webp 300w" sizes="(max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px" /></figure>

<p>Maintains the same layout as other local eateries in Bangkok, with plastic chairs, stainless steel tables, and beer served over ice. Thanks to its location near Silom Street, the menu here is written in English, and the servers here can also communicate in English, so diners will be able to order easily.</p>

<p>Recommended dishes: Spicy Cockles Salad, Steamed Meat in Lime Sauce</p>

<p>Opening hours: 05.00 pm &#8211; 00.00 am (05:00 &#8211; 00:00)</p>

<p>Address: 89 Soi Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra 3, Silom, Bang Rak, Bangkok 10500, Thailand (<a href="https://maps.app.goo.gl/J66p5XBhFtcS3ta4A" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">Open Map</a>)</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="4-sabaijai-original-ร้านอาหาร-สบายใจ-ดั้งเดิม">4. Sabaijai (Original) (ร้านอาหาร สบายใจ &#8211; ดั้งเดิม)</h3>

<p><strong>Sabaijai</strong> is a restaurant that specializes in <strong>Issan cuisine</strong>, which is a style of food from northeastern Thailand. It&#8217;s a fantastic place to have dinner and savor some delicious local Thai dishes in a spacious setting.</p>

<p>One of the highlights of this restaurant is its <strong>Grilled Chicken</strong>, which is so famous that they even named the restaurant after it (Gai Yang). You absolutely have to try it when you visit! The grilled chicken is incredibly juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. Alongside the grilled chicken, they also offer a variety of other dishes like Grilled Liver, Pork Larb Salad (a mix of pork, vegetables, chili, and crispy rice powder), and Fresh Papaya Salad.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="750" height="422" src="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Sabaijai-Original-pork.webp" alt="Sabaijai Original pork" class="wp-image-1433" srcset="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Sabaijai-Original-pork.webp 750w, https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Sabaijai-Original-pork-300x169.webp 300w" sizes="(max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px" /></figure>

<p>Sabai Jai Gai Yang is located on Ekkamai Street, and they even have a <strong>karaoke room</strong> where you and your friends can unwind after your meal. Not only can you dine in the open-air space outside, but you can also choose to sit inside the restaurant and enjoy <strong>live music performances</strong> on weekends.</p>

<p>See full <a href="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/sabaijai-original-menu/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Sabaijai (Original) menu</a>.</p>

<p>Recommended dishes: Grilled Chicken, Pork Salad.</p>

<p>Opening hours: 10.30 am &#8211; 10.00 pm (10:30 &#8211; 22:00)</p>

<p>Address: 87 Ekkamai 3 Alley, Khlong Tan Nuea, Watthana, Bangkok 10110, Thailand (<a href="https://maps.app.goo.gl/ZNM9dWCFQjwkC7Qo7" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">Open Map</a>)</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="5-jok-prince-โจ๊กปรินซ์-บางรัก">5. Jok Prince (โจ๊กปรินซ์ บางรัก)</h3>

<p><strong>Jok</strong> is a type of porridge cooked in Thai style, and this is definitely the cheapest dish diners can find in this spicy country. Usually, this dish is served in food courts as well as roadside eateries for 30 baht (THB). But the place where you can enjoy delicious porridge is <strong>Jok Prince</strong>, a small restaurant located in Bang Rak, close to Sapan Taksin BTS Skytrain Station. This restaurant is a bit difficult to find for tourists because there are no English directions in this area.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="750" height="563" src="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Jok-Prince-Congee.webp" alt="Jok Prince Congee" class="wp-image-1346" srcset="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Jok-Prince-Congee.webp 750w, https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Jok-Prince-Congee-300x225.webp 300w" sizes="(max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px" /></figure>

<p>This restaurant has a few different dishes for you to choose from; here, there are only spicy or non-spicy <strong>Minced Meat Porridge</strong> served with <strong>Century Eggs</strong> (a type of Chinese egg preservation) and decorated with onion slices. A portion of such hot porridge costs <strong>45 baht (THB)</strong>, a reasonable price for a simple dish that is delicious and easy to digest.</p>

<p>See full <a href="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/jok-prince-menu/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Jok Prince menu</a>.</p>

<p>Recommended dishes: Pork Congee With An Egg (โจ๊กใส่ไข่ลวก), Pork Congee With A Century Egg (โจ๊กใส่ไข่เยี่ยวม้า).</p>

<p>Opening hours: 6.00 am &#8211; 1.00 pm (06:00 &#8211; 13:00), 3.00 pm &#8211; 0.00 am (15:00 &#8211; 00:00)</p>

<p>Address: 1391 Charoen Krung Road, Silom, Bang Rak, Bangkok 10500, Thailand (<a href="https://maps.app.goo.gl/4RhRiKXhGFf5vB7d6" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">Open Map</a>)</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="6-go-ang-pratunam-chicken-rice-โกอ่างข้าวมันไก่ประตูน้ำ">6. Go-Ang Pratunam Chicken Rice (โกอ่างข้าวมันไก่ประตูน้ำ)</h3>

<p>One of Bangkok&#8217;s local eateries attracts a lot of fans from all over the city. Those who love Thai street food come here to enjoy tender <strong>Steamed Chicken</strong> served with <strong>Fried Rice</strong>, Cucumber, and Chicken Broth. This is not a new or special dish, but it is fresh and delicious, and there are always a lot of locals who enjoy it &#8211; a testament to the quality of the dish.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="750" height="696" src="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Go-Ang-Pratu-Nam-Chicken-Rice-1.webp" alt="" class="wp-image-435" srcset="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Go-Ang-Pratu-Nam-Chicken-Rice-1.webp 750w, https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Go-Ang-Pratu-Nam-Chicken-Rice-1-300x278.webp 300w" sizes="(max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px" /></figure>

<p>The spicy sauce is used to add flavor to the dish. However, the main flavor of the dish is still the fatty chicken pieces served with fried rice and a little garlic &#8211; a dish you can enjoy anytime, just like sandwiches in the West. Go-Ang Pratunam is open day and night and only closes for a few hours in the early morning.</p>

<p>See full <a href="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/go-ang-pratu-nam-chicken-rice-menu/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Go-Ang Pratunam menu</a>.</p>

<p>Recommended dishes: Hainanese Chicken Rice.</p>

<p>Opening hours: 6.00 am &#8211;&nbsp; 12.00 am (6:00 &#8211; 0:00)</p>

<p>Address: 960-962 Soi Phetchaburi 30, New Phetchaburi Road, Makkasan Subdistrict, Ratchathewi District, Bangkok 10400, Thailand. (<a href="https://maps.app.goo.gl/MoC5ez7WeZY7VHwC8" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">Open Map</a>)</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="7-pranakorn-boat-noodle-ก๋วยเตี๋ยวเรือพระนคร">7. Pranakorn Boat Noodle (ก๋วยเตี๋ยวเรือพระนคร)</h3>

<p>This is a Bangkok experience you cannot miss! As soon as they step into this restaurant, diners will be overwhelmed by the scene of many Thai students slurping down bowls of noodles.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="550" height="403" src="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Pranakorn-Boat-Noodle-menu.webp" alt="Pranakorn Boat Noodle menu" class="wp-image-626" srcset="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Pranakorn-Boat-Noodle-menu.webp 550w, https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Pranakorn-Boat-Noodle-menu-300x220.webp 300w" sizes="(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px" /></figure>

<p>For <strong>only 16 baht (THB)</strong>, you can choose your favorite type of <strong>Noodles</strong>, served with Pork or Beef, Meatballs or Fried Wontons. However, you may need more than one bowl to fill you up, so do as the locals do and order two bowls. The bowls you finish placing at the end of the table can become the basis for an eating contest (some restaurants realize this and have launched a program to give away a free bottle of Pepsi to whoever eats 10 bowls). But there are no restaurants here. Instead, there is a small alley along the canal.</p>

<p>To get to the <strong>Boat Noodle</strong> restaurant, you need to get out of the Victory Monument BTS Station and go along the road until you see the night market. Go through the market and cross the bridge across the canal to get there.</p>

<p>Opening hours: 8.00 am &#8211; 9.00 pm (8:00 &#8211; 21:00)</p>

<p>Address: Ratchawithi Rd, Thanon Phaya Thai, Ratchathewi, Bangkok 10400, Thailand. <h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="8-rod-dee-det-รสดีเด็ด-by-นพ">8. Rod Dee Det (รสดีเด็ด by นพ)</h3>

<p><strong>Rod Dee Det</strong> means “So delicious!” is a quite prominent restaurant located in the heart of Siam Square, the fashion center of Bangkok. The restaurant attracts diners with delicious dishes served on metal trays and a pot of rich, flavorful broth. Dishes here start from only <strong>60 baht (THB)</strong>, and with its simple decor and white tiles, it&#8217;s easy to see that this place is more food-focused. The dishes here have quite small portions, so we recommend that you order two or more dishes. At lunchtime, it won&#8217;t be easy to find a seat because it is quite crowded and also because of the increasing appearance of Japanese and American stores replacing local stores in Siam Square.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="750" height="750" src="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/Rod-Dee-Det-charcoal-grilled-beef.webp" alt="Rod Dee Det charcoal grilled beef" class="wp-image-1507" srcset="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/Rod-Dee-Det-charcoal-grilled-beef.webp 750w, https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/Rod-Dee-Det-charcoal-grilled-beef-300x300.webp 300w, https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/Rod-Dee-Det-charcoal-grilled-beef-150x150.webp 150w" sizes="(max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px" /></figure>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="750" height="563" src="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/3-famous-Bangkok-restaurant.webp" alt="3 famous Bangkok restaurant" class="wp-image-1385" srcset="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/3-famous-Bangkok-restaurant.webp 750w, https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/3-famous-Bangkok-restaurant-300x225.webp 300w" sizes="(max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px" /></figure>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-large-font-size" id="3-famous-bangkok-restaurant-you-have-to-wait-patiently"><strong>3 Famous Bangkok Restaurant You Have To Wait Patiently</strong></h2>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="1-raan-jay-fai">1. <strong>Raan Jay Fai</strong></h3>

<p>As one of the hottest street food addresses in Bangkok, thanks to being awarded a <strong>Michelin star</strong>, many tourists want to visit <strong>Raan Jay Fai</strong> once to see the deliciousness of the food here. The restaurant has 7 tables, of which only 2 tables are for people who have made reservations in advance (via email or phone call), the remaining 5 tables are empty for customers waiting in line. The space is small, and there is always a shortage of seats, making it normal for you to have to wait for hours.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="750" height="598" src="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Raan-Jay-Fai-chef.webp" alt="Raan Jay Fai chef" class="wp-image-1383" srcset="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Raan-Jay-Fai-chef.webp 750w, https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Raan-Jay-Fai-chef-300x239.webp 300w" sizes="(max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px" /></figure>

<p>The owner and chef is a woman over 70 years old. She prepares everything herself and impresses with her diving goggles whenever she stands in the kitchen. All stages are done in front of customers. The standout dish here is <strong>Crab Egg Omelet</strong> coated with chicken eggs and crab meat, served with raw vegetables and chili sauce. Crab meat is considered quite fresh and delicious; however, according to some diners, if you eat a lot of it, it will make you feel sick due to frying it in oil for a long time.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="750" height="500" src="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Raan-Jay-Fai-Bangkok-dish-3.webp" alt="" class="wp-image-445" srcset="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Raan-Jay-Fai-Bangkok-dish-3.webp 750w, https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Raan-Jay-Fai-Bangkok-dish-3-300x200.webp 300w" sizes="(max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px" /></figure>

<p>Although it is a street restaurant, the prices here are not affordable at all. Meal prices range from 800 baht (THB) to 1,000 baht (THB)/dish ($ 22-28 USD). Because the number of customers is too large, sometimes the staff is not very welcoming. If a customer stands in line and violates the restaurant&#8217;s regulations, such as bringing drinks from outside into the store, not paying attention to the order number, etc., they will receive an unhappy attitude from the staff.</p>

<blockquote class="wp-block-quote is-style-default is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow">

<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="2-jeh-o-chula">2. <strong>Jeh O Chula</strong></h3>

<p>Not only is it famous for tourists, but many locals also love this restaurant thanks to its delicious, spicy Tom Yum noodles. Opens around the afternoon, but as the night progresses, the queue gets more crowded because the restaurant&#8217;s signature dish &#8211; <strong>Tom Yum Mama Noodles</strong> &#8211; only starts selling after 11pm. That&#8217;s why <strong>Jeh O Chula</strong> is one of the famous late-night dining addresses in Bangkok.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="750" height="563" src="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Jeh-O-Chula-outside-view.webp" alt="Jeh O Chula outside view" class="wp-image-1361" srcset="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Jeh-O-Chula-outside-view.webp 750w, https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Jeh-O-Chula-outside-view-300x225.webp 300w" sizes="(max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px" /></figure>

<p>Guests had to queue for at least 45 minutes to be served, there were chairs to wait, and the weather was not too uncomfortable because it was night. Warm staff and delicious food are two things that score points in the hearts of customers. Food prices are not expensive, the lowest is 50 baht (THB)/dish ($ 1.4 USD), while the &#8220;star&#8221; Tom Yum Mama Noodle is around 220 &#8211; 300 baht (THB)/bowl ($ 5.6-8.4 USD) depending on the type, enough for two people to eat.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="750" height="501" src="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Jeh-O-Chula-menu.webp" alt="" class="wp-image-427" srcset="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Jeh-O-Chula-menu.webp 750w, https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Jeh-O-Chula-menu-300x200.webp 300w" sizes="(max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px" /></figure>

<p>From 1944 until now, the noodle dish has kept the same recipe, cooked from instant noodles, shrimp, squid, ground pork and rolled into balls (like shumai balls), eggs, and other common ingredients to cook Tom Yum. It&#8217;s quite spicy. If you don&#8217;t like spicy food, you should ask the chef to reduce the spiciness as much as possible. The heat of the dish is enough to warm your stomach late at night.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="3-go-ang-chicken-rice">3. <strong>Go Ang Chicken Rice</strong></h3>

<p>Located right in the heart of Bangkok, <strong>Go Ang Chicken Rice</strong> restaurant, which appeared in the <strong>Michelin Guide 2018</strong>, is recommended by many taxi drivers to tourists when looking for a delicious and cheap restaurant. However, when you come here during dinner time, you have to queue for at least 45 minutes before it&#8217;s your turn to enter the restaurant. Although the space inside is quite spacious, guests have to share tables because it is too crowded.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="750" height="1000" src="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Go-Ang-Chicken-Rice-inside.webp" alt="Go Ang Chicken Rice inside" class="wp-image-1382" srcset="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Go-Ang-Chicken-Rice-inside.webp 750w, https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Go-Ang-Chicken-Rice-inside-225x300.webp 225w" sizes="(max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px" /></figure>

<p>Here, they only serve Hainanese Chicken Rice, which is served with a variety of soups. Boiled chicken is soft but still chewy. The chicken skin is fatty, chewy, and fun to chew, dipped in a cup of soy sauce mixed with a little fragrant ginger. Most diners like to order bitter melon soup stuffed with meat as a side dish to make them feel full. The meal here has the lowest price of 50 baht (THB) ($ 1.4 USD). Healthy eaters can eat up to 2 portions plus a plate of gizzards, boiled liver, and a cool glass of red Thai milk tea, and it&#8217;s all you need.</p>

<p><strong>Jeh O Chula</strong> (ร้านเจ๊โอว) noodle shop became a famous night restaurant in Bangkok because of its best-selling Tom Yum Mama noodles. For those who are &#8220;night eaters&#8221;, surely when coming to Thailand, you will not be able to miss this noodle shop.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="750" height="501" src="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Jeh-O-Chula-menu.webp" alt="Jeh O Chula Mama Tom Yum" class="wp-image-427" srcset="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Jeh-O-Chula-menu.webp 750w, https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Jeh-O-Chula-menu-300x200.webp 300w" sizes="(max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px" /></figure>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-large-font-size"><strong>JEH O CHULA &#8211; FAMOUS RESTAURANT IN THAILAND</strong></h2>

<p>Jeh O Chula is a famous night restaurant in Bangkok that opens in the evening and closes at dawn the next day. Although this place is just street food with quite popular restaurants and is open at such &#8220;odd&#8221; hours, this is still a place that many locals and tourists visit, seem interested in, and eagerly wait in line to enjoy. If you are planning to go to Bangkok in the near future, don&#8217;t forget to &#8220;note&#8221; the address of this restaurant in your book to plan your meal.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="750" height="563" src="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Jeh-O-Chula-outside-view.webp" alt="Jeh O Chula outside view" class="wp-image-1361" srcset="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Jeh-O-Chula-outside-view.webp 750w, https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Jeh-O-Chula-outside-view-300x225.webp 300w" sizes="(max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px" /></figure>

<p>Jeh O Chula is truly one of the restaurants not to be missed when coming to Bangkok. Like many other noodle dishes, <strong>Tom Yum Mama Noodles</strong> have become familiar to Thai people as rustic and simple fast food. However, if you come to the Jeh O Chula noodle shop, this noodle dish seems to have been raised to a new, attractive level.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="750" height="563" src="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Jeh-O-Chula-inside-view.webp" alt="" class="wp-image-1359" srcset="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Jeh-O-Chula-inside-view.webp 750w, https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Jeh-O-Chula-inside-view-300x225.webp 300w" sizes="(max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px" /></figure>

<p>Although the shop only opens after 5 pm, many tourists and locals come here late at night. The heat of the noodles is enough to warm your stomach at night when there is a cool night mist. The busiest time is after 11 pm when the restaurant&#8217;s famous noodles are served quickly between rows of tables. That&#8217;s why Jeh O Chula is one of Bangkok&#8217;s most attractive nightlife addresses.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="750" height="417" src="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Jeh-O-Chula-Mama-Tom-Yum-Noodle.webp" alt="" class="wp-image-425" srcset="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Jeh-O-Chula-Mama-Tom-Yum-Noodle.webp 750w, https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Jeh-O-Chula-Mama-Tom-Yum-Noodle-300x167.webp 300w" sizes="(max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px" /></figure>

<p>Since opening in 1944, Jeh O Chula&#8217;s noodles have remained the same recipe, cooked from simple Thai instant noodles packages, but each bowl of noodles has a combination of ingredients. Attractive &#8220;toppings&#8221; such as shrimp, squid, meatballs, fresh eggs, and other common ingredients are used to cook traditional tom yum.</p>

<p>A special feature is its unmistakably spicy taste, and the most ordered dish is the attractive bowl of Tom Yum noodles with crab claws. The blend of sour and spicy flavors mixed with hotness, when first brought out, easily satisfies any picky taste buds. However, if you don&#8217;t like spicy food, you should ask the chef to reduce the spiciness to the lowest level possible.</p>

<p>The restaurant is so crowded that you may have to wait in line for about an hour after taking a number to be served. Not only do natives also love this restaurant, but tourists also miss the spicy, delicious tom yum noodles. That&#8217;s enough to know how delicious this restaurant is, making many diners come back 2-3 times in a row.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="750" height="563" src="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Jeh-O-Chula-waiting-line-outside.webp" alt="Jeh O Chula waiting line outside" class="wp-image-1362" srcset="https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Jeh-O-Chula-waiting-line-outside.webp 750w, https://www.bangkokmenu.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Jeh-O-Chula-waiting-line-outside-300x225.webp 300w" sizes="(max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px" /></figure>

<p>Even though it is sold at night, the restaurant is no less crowded than any other restaurant that sells during the day. The big plus point for the noodle shop is that the staff is warm and agile, serving hot bowls of noodles between the rows of tables, making anyone who sees them eat hot noodles.
